AOL to Invest $100 Million in India

Media giant America Online (AOL) Time Warner says it plans to invest as much as $100 million in India to expand its overseas software business.
The Washington Post reports AOL Time Warner officials have received permission from the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry to build a high-technology center over the next five years.
The Post says the plan calls for AOL Time Warner to open an office in Bangalore where it will hire dozens of engineers to develop e-commerce Internet sites and software for businesses.
Businesses are drawn to the India's cheaper, highly skilled workforce and the country's large Internet market.
