Israeli Arabs Indicted For Plotting To Assassinate Bush International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, 18 Jul 2008Six young Israeli Arabs have been arrested by Israeli security forces for allegedly offering their services to al-Qaida over the internet and plotting to assassinate US President George W. Bush during his visit to Jerusalem in May for Israel's 60th Anniversary celebrations. Security officials revealed on Friday that the group includes two Arab students at Hebrew University, one of which lived in dormitories that had a view of the helicopter landing pad on the Ramat Gan campus in west Jerusalem, where Bush landed and departed during his visit to the capital. The group contacted al-Qaida elements to discuss bombing one of Bush’s helicopters during the May visit. The six were all in their early 20s and were found with bomb-making instructions on their computers.
